Our 5th season ended with a Championship Game between the Moorpark Dodgers and the Moorpark Yankees.  We instituted a true double elimination format which allowed for a “what if” game if the top seed lost in the Championship Game.   The Yankees needed to prevail in the first game to set up a rematch for the Championship.  The first game was a battle back and forth which had to be continued the following day.  The Yankees held on, and then both teams took a short break and were right back at it.  The Yankees jumped out to an early lead on a 3 run homerun.  The Dodgers slowly came back and the Yankees responded.  With two outs and the tying run on first base a warning track shot was reeled in to secure the Yankees’ repeat.  The league has continued to help with the development of the skills of all the players.

ABDG wishes to thank Agoura, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Oaks Christian, Oak Park, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks along with District 13, Conejo Valley, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark and Simi Valley Little Leagues for helping build this program. A very special thanks to CRPD for all they have done.

One individual stands above all in making this Spring League a success. We want to thank Mike Gregory for all he has done for a number of years in helping these kids get out and play the national past time
